From Metro Manila to Davao City in the Philippines, there is only one song being sung by barkada, it's the new barkada anthem "Gimik" from one of the scene's newest bands called ZOO! "Gimik" is the carrier single from Zoo's debut album "Zoology" and has made listeners entertained over the radio, in fact it has become a hit over Love Radio 90.7 and is gaining heavy play on 97.1 Barangay LS-FM, DWRR 101.9, Yes FM 101.1, Star FM 102.7, IFM 93.9 and Energy FM 91.5. Although Zoo is a new band formed in late 2006, its members are seasoned musicians who have been playing with the best in the Philippines as well as abroad. Now, with accomplished careers and personal lives, coming out with "Zoology" fulfils each of their lifelong dreams since music is their one true passion. There really is something special with Zoo since they caught the ear of veteran director Bert de Leon who now manages the band and co-produced their album with Ricky Ilacad. Renowned names has been involved on this project which has brought good results in its release, with songs that anyone can relate to. No matter what gimik one has, one will appreciate the music of Zoo. Their album Zoology under MCA Music is available at all major record stores.
